Warm Witchy Wishes

I recently found this new blog called Crafty Friends Challenges, the blog  holds  bi-weekly challenges hosted by Beate Johns and  her friends.

This week is challenge #7 Halloween, make anything Halloween related, a card, banner, scrapbook page, treat bag or whatever you can imagine.

If there is more than 10 entries she will be giving away some awesome blog candy, so head on over and check it out.

I made a Z-fold card and used the Peachy Keen Lisa Jean Halloween stamp set for focal image.

I cut her out using my Spellbinders Scalloped Oval large die and inked the inside with SU Apricot Appeal, then colored her using Copics and a few Bic markers.

I used 2 colors of plain cardstock and Forever in Time's Hocus Pocus glitter paper for the font and left inside panels.

For the inside of the card I used the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder for the background and the Scalloped oval again for the sentiment.

Both the sentiment and the cauldron come from the Lisa Jean Halloween stamp set and are embossed with Adirondack Earthtones Stream and clear embossing powder.

I also embossed a Martha Stewart "Caution" stamp on the bottom right.

I love Halloween and can't wait to see what Spooky projects everyone comes up with.

Peachy Keen Challenge 32 - Sketch - Aug 2012

This week over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog a Sketch Challenge is going on. I love Peachy Keen stamps, since my drawing talent is stick men and stick woman.

Peachy Keen Challenge 32 - Sketch -  Aug 2012

So here is my card that I made for the challenge.

I used the Cricut Lite Recess cartridge for the little school girl sitting at her desk. The cardstock comes from Recollections Back to School collection.

I used the Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids Assortment for her face. Then used my Sukura Gelly Roll Pen in White for her eyes and my Bic markers for the rest of the face.

The sentiment is from Pink By Design's Simply Everything. This is a great stamp set full of sentiments for every occasion.

The Tree stamp is from a local Dollar store which I colored with Copics and added some Glossy Accents to the apple to give it shine.

The inside sentiment is from a Studio G set that I got at Michaels.

You should head on over to Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge Blog and check out the other entries, there are many very talented crafters out there.

I love my Dog!

I love my Dog! He's not really my dog, he's my neighbor's dog but I love him too. It's like having a dog but without any of the associated costs..... it's great!

He comes and goes as he pleases, he knows he's always welcome here.

Anytime I put something onto the BBQ, he's right by my side giving me that face that says " LOVE ME, LOVE ME, LOVE ME". He's too cute.

Often when I am outside working on a post he is laying quietly beside me, keeping me safe while I write away.

He is a great dog and I love him.

For this card I used Recollections cardstock and the Crafts Too - Bone and Paw Print Embossing Folder.

I used the Woof Woof Dog stamp set from Recollections that I got at Michaels with black embossing powder for both the dog and the sentiment. I used my Spellbinders Classic Inverted Scalloped Squares to cut out the dog and the Spellbinders Tag Trio for the sentiment. I added some color with my Bic markers and some popdots for dimension.

Then used my Stud/Deco Corner Chomper and added a few Recollections Paw brads and gave the dog a couple Bone brads.

For the inside sentiment I used the Pink by Design February Stamp of the Month Rain or Shine. Is that sentiment not perfect or what?!

I also stamped the fire hydrant on red cardstock and cut it out with my Honey Bee Scissors....couldn't live without these..they are awesome!!!!

I will be entering this card in the Cardz TV Challenge #12 Anything Goes. You should head on over to Cardz TV and check out Mary and her new Design Team have been up to.

Sweet Birthday Wishes !!!!

Today I wanted to share with you a birthday card I made for one of the ladies that I work with.

Yesterday was her birthday and we always celebrate by giving each other a card and of course .......... any excuse to eat cake.

I started by running a piece of teal cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the Seeing Spots folder and attached it to the pink card base. I just love this pink and teal cardstock from Recollections.

The main image is a stamp from Great Impressions Stamps called Dessert Piled High.... yummmmm

I colored the image in with my Copics and a few Bic Markers. For an extra little bling I used Glossy Accents for the cherry on top, as well as some Stickles in Crystal.

I put two thin layers behind the main image and then used some popdots for dimension but only for the top half.

"Sweet birthday wishes" comes from the Say It Sweet stamp set from Pink By Design. I have a sweet tooth and this stamp set has a lot of great sentiments for anyone who does.

I used the Cuttlebug and the Spellbinders Grommet Tag Die set to cut out and then stamp the sentiment on. I then attached it with some Flower Brads from Recollections that I picked up from Michaels.

I think that everyone should take this advice on their birthday too. I know I do...heeeheee

I used two different stamp sets for the inside of the card. I used the Pink by Design Simply Everything stamp set for the "It's Your Birthday !" and the Inkadinkado Eat Cupcakes set.

I will be posting some more birthday cards soon... May is such a busy birthday month.

I will also be LINKING UP to Pink Cricut this week.

Link Up Tuesday gives you the chance to link a project that you've been working on and see what everyone has been up to in the past week.

You should stop by and take a look, get some inspiration and there's even a chance to win a Memory Box Family Ties Die.

Thanks to Sarah Hamer (from Pink Cricut) for the chance to win such a great prize.

3 Cheers for Green Beers!!!!

Only 2 more days til St Patrick's Day.

Here is another card that I made for this festive green beer drinking day. I must say that I have never drank green beer but I guess there is always a first time for everything.

I used the Grommet Tags from Spellbinders in my Cuttlebug to cut out and stamp the sentiment on.

The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Luck O' the Irish stamp set. This set is full of lots of great sayings.

I then ran some green ribbon through the holes to attach it to the card.

The image stamp is one that I got for .....50 cents at a local Department store. I colored it in with my Bic markers and added some popdots.

The inside sentiment is also from Pink by Design's Luck O' the Irish stamp set.

I punched a couple of Shamrocks with my Fiskars Pop-up Punch and added some popdots.

3 Cheers for Green Beers!
