Baby Shower Favors

Warning: This post is picture heavy but really adorable.

So today I'm going to share the favors that my friend's sister Katherine and I made for the baby shower.

Katherine made these adorable diaper favors and filled them with yummy candies.

I went to Michaels and purchased some baby bottles and ribbon. I picked up a bunch of Hershey Kisses and used several Jaded Blossom Candy Stamps, as well as a Hero Arts stamp for the bottom of each kiss. I then added some gift basket shred in blue and popped in the kisses.

I made the tag with the print and cut feature on my Cameo.

For the first kiss I used Brilliance Coffee Bean Ink and the little hedgehog on the Hero Arts Precious Baby Boy stamp set.

All the rest of the kisses I used Jaded Blossom Candy stamps.

For this one I used the Mustache Candies set, also stamped in Coffee Bean.

Here I used the Valentine Candies set with Brilliance Pearlescent Thyme ink.

The next set I used was the Baby Candies stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Thyme and Sky Blue.

The last set I used and this is my favorite of all the kisses I made is from the Kawaii Candies set stamped in Coffee Bean.

LOL... I love this little poop :)

As with any shower we played a bunch of fun games but the game I loved the most was this:

I used Google to find some games and saw this one and I just had to include it in all the fun! I made the sign and the poop ballot using my computer and printer and then stamped the little poop all over!

Then came the fun part making the poop combos and letting everyone try to guess which chocolate bars I used to make them. LOL this was so funny I couldn't stop laughing, this is a must play game for a shower.

One of the other games we played was What's in your purse? I used the Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons Safari Love Cutting files and printed out a header for this game.

What a great time everyone had at the shower. It took a while to make everything but I had so much fun creating everything and using all the different files and stamps and of course did I mention that I LOVE my Cameo :)

Noah's Ark Banner

Hello everyone!

Today I'm posting the banner and a few other little projects that I made for my friend's Baby shower. The theme was Noah's Ark as she had twin boys! They are so super cute and bring lots of love and joy to everyone.

For the banner I opened up my Silhouette DE Software and purchased a few files from the Silhouette online store. I started by cutting the Top Note Nested Shapes in blue on my 12 x 24 mat for the main banner pieces, then cut out the inset pieces in a striped pattern paper.

Next I used the type tool, chose a font and typed out my text then made shadow layers for each letter.

I used the Noah's Ark file by Sarah Bailey and cut it out 6 times. I used  my Tim Holtz and Cuttlebug Wood grain embossing folders for all the pieces. For Noah I used the Peachy Keen In the Garden face assortment and used twine to give him a rope tie for his robe.

I bought some chip bowls and used some Silhouette Adhesive Vinyl in white to cut out their names.

My friend had her twins 3 months early (!) and so they were in hospital for some time. Only the hospital was almost 2 hrs away from where we live. So while they were in hospital Mom stayed at Jeneece Place.

Jeneece Place is a home away from home for families who travel for their child's medical care. It is owned and operated by Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island. I visited my friend while she was there and what an amazing place it is for families with sick children.

So at her baby shower we had a donation jar (bottle) for Jeneece Place.

Jeneece Place was the dream of this brave young girl. May she rest in peace
Now I couldn't forget the proud Daddy of the twins. Using the 3D Tool Box from Samantha Walker I cut out this Daddy's Diaper Toolkit, and filled it with all the necessary items he will need to lend a hand.

Tomorrow I will post the favors that I made using Jaded Blossom stamps and the print and cut feature on my Cameo.

Welcome Luca and Keagan!

I wanted to share with you some pictures of what I worked on this last week. My good friend Jessica just had twin boys about 3 months ago and boy oh boy are they cute! I would love to take both of them home with me.

A special collage of Luca and Keagan made by Jessica's sister Katherine.
So this week we held a baby shower for my friend and her boys. Unfortunately Keagan couldn't be at the shower as he is still in hospital, doing great but not ready to be around lots of people yet.

I love paper crafting and what better time then to turn on my Cameo and start cutting?

The theme was Noah's Ark, so I used a bunch of Miss Kate's Cuttables and a super cute Studio Ilustrado file from the Silhouette Online store to make 8 different animal toppers. I made each topper double sided and hot glued a small bamboo skewer in between the shadow layer and the second cut of the animal.

Then I rolled up a box of diapers and made small diaper cake center pieces for the tables. I wrapped each cake in 2" blue ribbon along with some super cute 1 1/2" animal ribbon that I got at Michaels. Using red tape I attached the two together and added a print and cut tag to hide the seam. Added some Easter Basket grass on top and stuck each animal in.

The first one I made was the Cow:

The Pig was next, he is one of my favorites :)

The Lion:

This next one is my favorite... the Giraffes. This file I got from Studio Ilustrado, and it's called Cute Giraffe.

The Donkey:

The Monkey:

 The Zebra:

Last but certainly not least, the Lamb:

With the other 8 Diaper cakes I took some blue with white polka-dot ribbon and some It's a Boy! ribbon and wrapped it around like the other ones.

Instead of the diaper in the middle of the cake I replaced it with a Balloon weight. I added some blue Easter grass on top and strung some It's a Boy curling ribbon through with a matching blue balloon.

A fun time was had by all! Tomorrow I post more pictures of some of the other projects I made for this shower.

Little Monster Bash

I helped a girlfriend out with some baby shower decorations, for one of her friends that has a baby on the way. They know that it is a boy, so they decided to have a Monster Bash. I picked some of the characters from their baby shower invitation plus a few extras and started making a banner.

I used my Silhouette and the print and cut feature to make the monsters.

The monsters are sized either 10 1/2" tall or wide, then I gave each of the monsters a shadow.

Using a Silhouette file I made the banner pieces in blue and green. I used a light blue cardstock for the dark blue banner pieces along with the Spots and Dots embossing folder to give each piece some dimension.

For the green banner pieces I used a pattern from the Kaiser Craft Blast Off paper pack.

I used star brads to attach each of the pieces together and then star eyelets on the ends to hang from.

Using the same monsters I decided to make a few favors. I filled some Jaded Blossom 1x8 bags with green blue and teal skittles. I re-sized the banner pieces and used them to make tags for the favors. Then added some washi tape and some Monster googly eyes.

Placed them all in a vase with some blue tissue paper and green Rickrack.

Wishing the happy couple all the joy in the world with the upcoming arrival of their little monster.
