Kiss Me!

I can't believe that it is March already, the last 2 months have flown by. The great thing about March is that it is national craft month, so this month everyone is super busy in their craft spaces.

Also in March is St Patrick's Day... Maybe I'll be lucky and find a pot full of chocolate covered coins! A girl can dream..right??

So I thought that I would start off this month by entering the Luck Of The Irish Challenge #25 over at Cardz TV.

The challenge is to make a card, layout or craft project using hand stamped, digital stamped or electronically cut Shamrocks or Leprechauns.

Each week the Cricut Craft Room has a cartridge that you can try out for FREE for a week . Lucky me this week the Cut It Free For A Week cartridge was Spring Holiday Cards.

So I decided to make this fun Shamrock Banner.

KISS ME I'M IRISH
I opened the Spring Holiday Cards cartridge and used the Shamrock cut but hid the face features on it, so I was left with just the Shamrock. I cut them out of dark and light green cardstock and attached green eyelets to each side of the Shamrocks with my Crop A Dile.

I had to add some green brads to the lighter green Shamrocks as I didn't have enough eyelets. I strung orange ribbon from my stash through the eyelets to hold it all together.

Then using the Storybook cartridge I cut out all my letters along with its shadow for each.

I used the October 31 cartridge to cut out 2 cauldrons and cut off the feet and stir stick that was on top. Some gold Stickles and a few gold rhinestones and we have a pot of gold.

Hope you find a pot of gold(or in my dreams ...chocolate covered coins) this St Patrick's Day. Luck of the Irish to ya!

I will be entering this banner into the following challenges:

Sending Smiles

Late last night I made this card for the Peachy Keen Challenge 13-8, 3D Objects: Metal

I started by cutting this robot from the Boys Will Be Boys cartridge at 3", along with the shadow layer. I stamped his face from the Peachy Keen Monster Mash Face Assortment and colored in the eyes with a white Gelly Roll pen. I added a Metal Screw brad to him for some fun.

I pulled out my Cuttlebug and ran through a piece of Silver Metallic cardstock with the Craft Concepts Hexagon Illusion folder to give the background some dimension. I picked up this fun embossing folder and a few others at Crafty Capers, one of my LSS.

The sentiments are from Pink By Design's Friends Til The End and Spring Has Sprung stamp sets embossed in Stampendous Silver.

The front sentiment is cut out with a Spellbinders Grommet Tag Die and some Monster brads from the Eyelet Factory. The inside sentiment is cut using the Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio and attached with some American Crafts Ribbon.

Happy Brrrthday!

Happy New Year everyone!

So glad to have some time back to get into my crafty little world after the holidays.

A few weeks back my friend had a birthday and her boyfriend got her a colorful new snowboard. So I wanted to make her a fun card so that she would remember her birthday on the mountain.

I started with the Paper Dolls Teen Scene cartridge and cut out my friend and all the accessories at 5", then used the Peachy Keen Dolly Dumplins Face Assortment and colored it in with Copics.

I used the Spellbinders Label Nine to cut out the sentiment which is from the (discontinued?) Pink By Design Cowgirl Up set.

The inside sentiment is from Pink By Design's Snowflakes stamp set.

I will entering this card in the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 13-1 Anything Goes challenge.

It's the first of this years challenges over at Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. I can't wait to see what the challenges will be this year, so make sure to stop on by and join the fun too!

Santa Claus Card

Here is the Santa Claus card that I made for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #45 Just Cards: Shape It Up!

You must make a shaped card to enter.

I used the A Quilted Christmas Cricut cartridge to make Santa Claus. You can't tell in the picture but I used Martha Stewart White Swan Flock and made his beard and all the white fur fuzzy. I also added a white pompom to his hat.

For his face I used the Peachy Keen Groom Faces and gave him some blue eyes and some pink cheeks.

HOHOHOHO! Only 20 more days til Christmas, I can't believe it.

Swinging By To Say Hi!!!

Here is a fun little card that I made the other day for the Fun Friday Anything Goes Challenge over at Little Scrap Pieces.

It's an Easel card, I love making these types of cards, they are so much fun to display.

I  really like this fun banana paper  made by Reminisce called Goin' Bananas and Crazy Monkey Stripe from the Monkey Business collection.

I used the Create A Critter cartridge, Bazzill paper and some googly eyes to make this cute little monkey. I cut out the vines and ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Indentz Vine 1 folder then placed one on top and one underneath him to make him swing.

Both the sentiments come from Pink By Design's Jungle Fever stamp set, which I embossed in black. I used my Spellbinders Grommet Tag die to cut out the front sentiment and attached it using brads.

Isn't the banana so cute? I used The Cornies Assortment from Peachy Keen for his cute little face.... heeeheee.

Head on over and check out all the great entries for the Fun Friday Anything Goes Challenge... you still have time to enter yourself.

Oscar the Grouch Dreaming.

I pulled out my Sesame Street cartridge the other day and decided to make Oscar the Grouch.

I used 2 shadow layers to make the base of the card, I love to make shaped cards I think they just look so cute!

I just love how he turned out all fuzzy!
I decided to cut out Oscar's body with some Be Creative Tape and my expression and adhered it to the pieces of cardstock that I had already cut out.  Martha Stewart Flocking Powder in Fennel and Orange Poppy to give Oscar his fur and some googly eyes.

The sentiment is from Pink By Design's Christmas Wishes and a Dollar store stamp for the snowflakes on the bag.

The inside sentiment is from Recollections Nutcracker stamped in SU Ballet Blue.

I will be linking this to Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday. Head on over!

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day everyone! It's Thanksgiving here in Canada, so turkey, stuffing and all the fixings were had by many.

I just had a great Thanksgiving weekend with my Mother and wanted to wish all my friends, family and fellow bloggers a HAPPY THANKSGIVING so I made this card.

I used the Create A Critter cartridge and cut this turkey at 4 1/2", along with all the layers and shadows to make the base of the card then added some googly eyes just for fun.

The inside sentiment comes from Pink By Design's Simply Everything stamp set. This really is a great assortment of sentiments... definitely a must have.

I will adding this post to Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday, Pink By Design's Ink it Pink and over at Bugaboo Stamps' Catch the Bug Challenge Blog - October Anything Goes! Head on over and check them out!

Halloween Wishes!

I'm entering this card in the latest challenge over at Cardz TV

This weeks Cricut Card Challenge is: Challenge #117 “SSoo SSSpooky!” Make an S-fold card for Halloween using any cartridge(s) and any colors you’d like.

For this card I used the October 31st and the Mini Monograms Cricut cartridges.

I cut the Raven out at 2 1/4" from the Oct 31st cartridge and added some popdots to the back.

Next I used the Mini Monograms cartridge and the real dial size button and cut two moons out at 3 1/4" then used SU Apricot Appeal to ink around the edge of the moons.

I embossed the sentiment in black which comes from Pink By Designs' Ghostly Greetings stamp set.

The background paper is from DCWV The Midnight Spell stack.

The inside sentiment is also from the Ghostly Greetings stamp set and embossed in black.

I used a Martha Stewart Halloween stamp set and embossed the ravens in black on either side of the sentiment.

Sending Happy Halloween Wishes for the upcoming spooky holiday.

Check out Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday and see what everyone has been up to this week. I will be adding this card to the collection.

Happy Fright Night! Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #36

This week's challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog is 3-D Objects - Candles.

I found this candle that I had laying around and since it had this crackle effect on it, I thought that it was perfect for a Halloween candle.

Happy Fright Night!!!

I pulled out the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge and cut the ghost and the hairy purple monster at 2 1/2 inches. I used black embossing powder to emboss the ghost with the Peachy Keen Cornies Assortment in 5/8" and the purple monster with the Peachy Keen Monster Mash Face Assortment in 3/4".

The sentiment is from Pink By Design's A Haunting We Will Go stamp set inked in Memento Grape Jelly.

I stamped the sentiment inside of a Fiskars Halloween stamp set I had and then cut it out with my Honey Bee Scissors. I attached the sentiment  to the candle with two mini purple star brads and added a larger one  on top in the middle of the ribbon.

I cut a piece of black cardstock and used my Martha Stewart Fence Boarder punch and wrapped it around the base of the candle.

I just love this cute little pumpkin, I just got my order in the mail the other day and couldn't wait to use them. I cut two pumpkins from the CottageCutz Pumpkin Trio Die set with matching Peachy Keen Faces and adhered one to the front and one to the back.

Isn't he just so cute?!?  Turns out that the piece I cut for my fence wasn't long enough for this chunky candle so the little pumpkin came to the rescue and brought together my fence boarder along with some large Zots Dots.

You should head on over to Challenge #36 and take a peek at what everyone came up with.

I will also be linking this up to Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday. Head on over and check out all the great projects.

A Dino-Mite Birthday!

Yesterday I went to a Surprise Birthday party for my friend's daughter, she turned the big 10. We all huddled by the door with balloons in our hands, waiting for her to open the door and throw them at her.. SURPRISE!!

She had this huge smile on her face and her eyes wide, in shock walking around in a slight daze.

Good food, friends, family and of course birthday cake = a Dino-Mite birthday party.

She loves dinosaurs so I made this Triceratops card with the Dinosaur Tracks Cricut cartridge.

I made this card the same way as the Happy Piggy Party card, by cutting 2 shadow layers and adhering them together, then cutting all the remaining layers.

I ran some of the layers through my Cuttlebug with the Mesh embossing folder to give him scaly skin. (I forgot to emboss the brown legs.. Oops!)

For the inside of the card I used the first layer and then cut part of the top off so it would fit inside. I used the Dinosaur Party stamp set by Pink Cat Studio for the inside sentiment with some Cottage Ivy Memento Ink.

It was a Dino-Mite birthday filled with lots of love, fun and excitement for a very surprised 10 yr old!

Happy Piggy Party

So this week Provo Craft had a sneak peek of the new Create a Critter 2 cartridge. They allowed 5 images to be revealed on the Cricut Craft Room for Crafters to use and create with for a few days.

The best part.... make a project, post it on the Cricut Project Center and be entered to win access to the WHOLE library of cartridges on the Cricut Craft Room.

Can you believe that?! Crazy!

So here is my entry.

I call him Happy Piggy Party.

Using the Create a Critter 2 cartridge I cut 2 Piggy Shadow layers at 6". Then scored one shadow layer at the base of the pig's ear, folded and adhered to the other shadow layer, this made my card base.

I cut the remaining layers and adhered them together. I paper pieced the hat with pink and white star patterned paper and added some white mini star brads. I also used 2 yellow flower buttons with Glossy Accents.

For the inside of the card I cut 1 more layer but this time I hid the contour lines to leave me with just a outline. I then used Pink By Design's Simply Everything and Country Living stamp sets for the sentiment.

I will be linking this to the Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday. Check out what everyone has been busy crafting away to this week.

Having a Ball!!!

Hi everyone. Well I have finally gotten around to making a post. I was away camping enjoying what little summer we have had.

I love the outdoors and like to spend as much time as possible out there when I can.

The card that I made this time is one of my favorite places to be in the summer...the Beach. I used the Cricut Paper Dolls Teen Scene cartridge.

I cut the dolls, bathing suits and hair all at 5". Since I can not draw at all I used the Peachy Keen Dolly Dumplins Face Asst. stamp set for her and the Peachy Keen Groom Faces for him.

I cut some waves from Life's a Beach Cricut cartridge and took some Sookwang tape and some decorative sand that I had lying around to make the beach. The beach ball is from the Pink by Design Just Beachy stamp set, stamped, colored with Copics and cut out.

The  sentiment is from the Simply Everything stamp set by Pink by Design.

I added some American Crafts ribbon, a Recollections flip flop brad and some real baby shells that I got at a second hand store to finish the card.

For the inside of the card I used one of the left over waves, stamped the sun from Stampendous Summer Scene stamp set with Memento Dandelion Ink and then cut it out.

The inside sentiment is from the Pink by Design Summer Vacation stamp set.

Well I hope you all get to have a ball and spend many fun days at the beach.

I'm entering this card into the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #28 - Anything Goes.

You should head on over there and check out what everyone has been up to.

Get your sparkle on... PbD05

This week's Ink It Pink Challenge is all about SPARKLE

You can use whatever form of sparkle or bling that you choose.... metallic paper, Viva Decor, rhinestones, glitter and the list goes on.

I chose to use Glitter Ritz, my favorite glitter as my sparkle.

I started by stamping , Pink By Design's Cloudy Day Background stamp in Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue ink.

I then cut out some clouds in different sizes in white and dark blue, using the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. I then stamped my sentiment with Pink By Design's Simply Everything.

I pulled out my Martha Stewart Balloon punch and punched a bunch of balloons out of Sookwang Be Creative Tape.

Then punched out matching cardstock to the color of glitter that I chose to use and stuck the tape to the cardstock.

I pulled off the paper backing and glittered away using several different colors of Glitter Ritz and let me tell you...I got glitter everywhere....even on my face.. lol.

Here is a close-up picture of the balloons... I used small punches for the heart and star and attached them Glossy Accents.

I added  some Pink By Design Divine Twine in Black Licorice to tie the balloons together.

For the inside of the card I used the clouds that I cut out earlier and used the Pink By Design October's Stamp of the Month - Friends to the End in Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid.

You should head over to Pink By Design's Blog and take a look at what everyone has been up to. Hope your day is full of sparkle and bling.

Camping under the stars

Oh what fun..... at the end of the week my friend's daughter is going to Girl Guide Camp. I can remember going to girl guide camp as a young girl and having the time of my life.

So to wish her the time of her life with lots of great adventures, making new friends and earning badges I made her this card.

Isn't it cute? I used Recollections and Bazzill Cardstock for the base and the background I cut from a 12x12. The fire is a sticker embellishment from
Michaels.

This is part of the Bo Bunny Camp A Lot paper and embellishment collection. I matted a cardstock sticker  from the Fireside Fun Sticker Sheet...... I love, love, love this collection. I love the little sign by the tents that says  "Welcome Campers".

I made a 3" girl guide from the Paper Doll Dress Up and the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridges. To make the guide tie I used the smallest maple leaf stamp I had and used Memento Bahama Blue ink.

And if you're like me .... you can't draw, so I used Peachy Keen's PK490 Everyday Character Faces Assortment. I gave her some pink cheeks and used my Sukura White Gelly Roll pen for the eyes.

I used DecoArt Snow Writer to make the marshmallows and then used chalk to make them "roasted"... heeeheee.

I used the Spellbinders Grommet Tags and the Peony Dies, stamped and colored with asstorted Tombows and Copics. The sentiment is Happy Camper from  Imaginisce.

I added a couple of buttons... the tree and the blue tent as "grommets".

Well I sure hope she has the best time at camp and brings home lots of great memories. I know I did.

I will be Linking Up to Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday... you should head on over and check out what everybody has been up to.
