Leap and rise above

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a fellow co-worker.

She is departing for another job opportunity and was nervous about it. I thought I might give her a little reassurance.... that sometimes we just have to go for it!

She is a strong woman and I know she can do anything she sets her heart and mind to.

The base is Bazzill cardstock, I also used a Momenta Pyramid pack, which I can't remember the name...sorry.

I love embossing, I think it looks so good.

The sentiment is from Pink By Design's The Life You Imagined.
The Butterfly is an Inkadinkado stamp set called Butterflies.
Recollections Party Pink and Stampendous Sunny Yellow Pastel embossing powder.

I added a leftover strip of the butterflies and the sentiment is from Pink By Design's Rise Above it All.

Hope you're all having a great day.

Camping under the stars

Oh what fun..... at the end of the week my friend's daughter is going to Girl Guide Camp. I can remember going to girl guide camp as a young girl and having the time of my life.

So to wish her the time of her life with lots of great adventures, making new friends and earning badges I made her this card.

Isn't it cute? I used Recollections and Bazzill Cardstock for the base and the background I cut from a 12x12. The fire is a sticker embellishment from
Michaels.

This is part of the Bo Bunny Camp A Lot paper and embellishment collection. I matted a cardstock sticker  from the Fireside Fun Sticker Sheet...... I love, love, love this collection. I love the little sign by the tents that says  "Welcome Campers".

I made a 3" girl guide from the Paper Doll Dress Up and the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridges. To make the guide tie I used the smallest maple leaf stamp I had and used Memento Bahama Blue ink.

And if you're like me .... you can't draw, so I used Peachy Keen's PK490 Everyday Character Faces Assortment. I gave her some pink cheeks and used my Sukura White Gelly Roll pen for the eyes.

I used DecoArt Snow Writer to make the marshmallows and then used chalk to make them "roasted"... heeeheee.

I used the Spellbinders Grommet Tags and the Peony Dies, stamped and colored with asstorted Tombows and Copics. The sentiment is Happy Camper from  Imaginisce.

I added a couple of buttons... the tree and the blue tent as "grommets".

Well I sure hope she has the best time at camp and brings home lots of great memories. I know I did.

I will be Linking Up to Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday... you should head on over and check out what everybody has been up to.

I will also be linking up to the Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge - Peachy Challenge #23 - Anything goes. Stop by and check out all the great entries.

Red, White and Blue

Pink By Design's Ink it Pink Challenge (PbD03)

Hello all this week's Ink it Pink Challenge is Red, White and Blue. So for this challenge I made a Red, White and Blue Tent Topper card.

I watched this great tutorial by Mary at Cardz Tv on making a Tent topper card. I loved the idea and the card just came together. She has tons of great tutorials on all kinds of amazing cards.

So here is the card that I am entering into the challenge.

All the cardstock is Recollections, I took White cardstock and stamped the Cars background stamp by Hero Arts and then embossed in American Crafts Rouge embossing powder.

I then added some Pink By Design Air Mail Divine Twine and a few buttons.

Both the car on the inside and the one on the front is a stamp called Vroom by Imaginisce.

You still have time to link your crafty project to the Red, White and Blue Challenge here, you should stop by and check it out.

Just a couple little notes of Thanks!!

Little notes of Thanks to a couple of friend's of mine and some chocolate too :D

Today I wanted to show you the 3x3 thank you cards that I made.

I used some paper and ribbon from my stash with my corner punch. The sentiment comes from Pink By Design's Jan Stamp of the Month set entitled Small Things.

The inside sentiment is from Pink By Design's Oct 2011 Stamp of the Month: Friends to the End.

The bird stamp is by Inkadinkado called True Friends.
I just love how the birds turned out, I embossed them in black on the yellow paper and then cut them out. Then just attached to the front of the envelope with a AdTech dot runner. (love it)

I wrapped a Purdy's Dark Chocolate Bar in some metallic red foil paper ...yummmmm

The second card is also made with paper and ribbon from my stash.

Both the inside and outside sentiments are also from Pink By Design's Oct Stamp of the Month: Friends to the End.

I embossed a Sea Star for the envelope in black embossing powder on green paper and used my circle punch to cut it out.

The Sea Star is from the On the Beach Mini set by Inkadinkado.

I love making 3x3 cards they are quick and simple to make.

Happy Father's Day !!!!

Hi there today I wanted to share the card that I made for my Dad for Father's Day.

He lives in Ontario and we don't get to see each other very often, but we do keep in touch. I miss him and wish he could be closer. Happy Father's Day Dad ... I love you. Hope you have a great day.

I used  both sides of Reel Me In Dad paper from TPC Studio and some Bazzill cardstock for the base. I love the way that Embossed sentiments look, so I did this one in Stampendous Emerald embossing powder. The sentiment is Best Dad from Stampendous.

I just love these ties, I added dimension with some popdots. I recently won the Memory Box Family Ties Die from entering a card in the Pink Cricut Link Up Tuesday and I'm going to enter this card in the 2nd Ink It Pink Challenge - PbD02 . This week's Ink it Pink Challenge is a Masculine card or project, so I think that this fits right in.

I used the other part of the Family Ties Die for the inside and the sentiment comes from Studio G.. I think.

To all the great fathers out there...

Happy Father's Day !

Bacon and Egg Birthday!!!!

Hello all! Today I have a very special card to show you. This fabulous (5x7) card was made by my better half for my birthday this past week....

He asked me what I wanted for my Birthday and I said, "I want YOU to make me Bacon and Eggs!!!!"

I do most of the cooking but he makes the best Bacon and eggs ever... He always says, "timing is everything" and he is right. Yum yum!

So before I received my bacon and eggs, he gave me this great card.... I just love it.

The yellow ribbon and 4 black brads fit right in.

Hey wait a minute those aren't real bacon and eggs!!
I laughed so hard I was crying.

To make this card, he made me a Bacon and Eggs SVG File and also an MTC File.

For awhile now he has been trying to talk me in to trying to use digital images and paper patterns so he took the opportunity to show me just how good they can turn out. The options for color and design really are endless.

For this card he used a couple different programs, our HP printer and Make the Cut.

For the patterned paper, Gimp, what a great piece of free software.

To make the SVG file, Inkscape (this program is very similar to Adobe Illustrator) then import to Make the Cut to cut it out.

Didn't he do such a great job? I'm so impressed!

Thank you Babe for the best bacon and eggs ever!!

XOXOXO

Here's the SVG he made...

I've added links to the (free!) files so you can make your own set of bacon and eggs... without the calories... enjoy.!
