Twinkle, twinkle

It has been along time since I've posted anything... I have been working both jobs and there has been no time for crafting. So today I thought that I would run up to the craft area for a bit and enter the current challenge over at Peachy Keen.

13-17 : Sketch Challenge

I started by making my little astronaut. I used the Cricut Lite B is for Boy cartridge and cut him out at 2 1/2 ", it's hard to tell but I used Acetate to make his space helmet. Then I stamped this adorable face from the Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids Assortment and a White Gelly Roll Pen, Bic Markers and some chalk to color in his face.

I made my little green Alien using a Fiskars heart punch for his body and an egg shaped punch for his head. I used the Peachy Keen Simple Simons Assortment in 3/8, it made the perfect alien face. His spaceship is from the Cricut Boys Will Be Boys cartridge but I cut off the top antenna and feet and added some rhinestones.

The sentiment is from my newest Peachy Keen set that I just got last week Twinkle Twinkle Sentiments. Love this set it is very cute!

The background paper is from DCWV All About Boys Stack and the green stars paper is from Crate Paper Party Day collection  called Wish. I used Spellbinders Classic Circles, Star Circles and the Provocraft Spots and Dots embossing folder for my planets.

Make sure to head on over to the Peachy Keen Blog and enter the challenge yourself.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #115 'Color Play'

I'm entering this card into the CARDZ TV Cricut Cardz Challenge #115...

The Theme:  Red, yellow & blue, any Cricut cartridge.

I used the Mini Monograms cartridge to create the base of the card, I cut out 2 shadow layers and adhered them together. Then I cut out the largest die in the Spellbinders Star Circles, along with the little star.

I made the rocket with the Cricut Lite B is for Boy cartridge and added some Glossy Accents to the window. The rocket is flying by the moon which is made with the pop-up moon Fiskars punch.

The sentiment is from Pink By Design's Small Things which I embossed in black.

I used red cardstock for the inside, cut out with the Mini Monograms cartridge and cut off the very top to fit.

The Alien also comes from the B is for Boy cartridge, I cut him out at 2" and added some googly eyes in red, yellow and blue for some fun. The sentiment comes from Pink By Design's Train Station stamp set.

I will be linking up this post to Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday, head on over and check out what some talented crafters have been up to.
