Let's Wine About It!!

Hi everyone! Well after working 2 jobs for the summer it's finally time to get back to crafting. So what better way to start than by making a birthday card.

A friend of mine recently celebrated her birthday and I had made a visit to my favorite Scrapbooking stores Crafty Capers in Nanaimo a few weeks earlier. I bought this Art Impressions stamp and a few other things that I really needed... lol.

I started by stamping her with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cutting out the image with my Spellbinders label 9 die. Then colored her in with various Copics and added some Glossy Accents to the glass.

I made the background from one of the stamps in the Jaded Blossom Happy Hour Candies stamp set, then added some ribbon and a few popdots to my lady.

The inside sentiment comes from  the Jaded Blossom's Olive You stamp set.

Love how two of my favorite companies came together to make this card. Make sure to check out both of their websites and blogs.

Sweet Heart

Hi there, just wanted to quickly share with you a treat that I made for Valentine's Day.

I started by stamping and cutting out some of the Jaded Blossom Valentine Candies set and attached them in the middle of the heart on the yummy heart shaped peppermint patties. Then I placed 5 patties into a 2.25 x 8" bag that I got from Jaded Blossom.

I attached some May Arts Satin Reversible ribbon with Stitched Edge that I picked up my favorite place to get supplies Crafty Capers. I love this ribbon, it's so pretty. Red and Pink perfect for Valentine's Day. I also purchased another beautiful color to play with later :)

With a Spellbinders die and some Recollections Valentine cardstock I made my tag. By taping off the top and bottom of the Jaded Blossom Valentine Treat Tag stamp I used the middle section of it for my sentiment. I then strung it through the ribbon and attached a button.

I love how it turned out. So quick and easy to make.

Crafty Capers Garage Sale !!!!

I'm so excited and I can't wait for the 9th annual Crafty Capers Garage Sale.

YAY YAY YAY

Over the last few years I have had the pleasure of attending this garage sale.

I always find so many great deals and could fill 10 baskets if Victoria would let no one else to the sale.

This is a picture of me (clear bin in hand) at last years' sale waiting with all the patience in the world as I wanted to tear down the rope and start shopping !!!

It's a great opportunity to find something you've been looking for or wanting and haven't been able to find because it's retired or very popular.

Don't forget to bring lots of cash, as all garage sale items must be paid for in cash.

You can also sell any craft items that you no longer use or are willing to part with. For any items sold you will receive a store credit...win win for everyone.

Check out the Crafty Capers site for all the important details.

So don't forget to mark your calendar for Crafty Capers Garage Sale.

Poppystamps Grand Madison Window Die

I just wanted to give you a peek at a card that I will be working on.

I will be using my Poppystamp Grand Madison Window Die along with the Grand Flower Box Die and the Wildflower Patch Die.

They are new arrivals at Crafty Capers one of my favorite local Scrapbooking stores that I spoil myself at. Heeeheee

As soon as I got them home I cut the window out by running it through my Cuttlebug, nice and easy.

I will post the card as soon as I put it together.

Happy Crafting

Crafty Capers' Open House....YAY !!!

Today I went to one of favorite scrapbooking stores called Crafty Capers. They were having an open house and Victoria (the owner) had a great sale on JustRite stamps along with all her embossing folders so I just couldn't resist treating myself. Heeheheheee

She had platters of goodies and a FREE make and take.
So I had to indulge in both.... this is my card that I got to make and take for free.

She had all the parts ready for everyone to assemble. We got to emboss the flower in white and  then color it in with pencil crayons. I stamped a sentiment and there you have it. I loved her choice of paper and Flower stamp.

What a nice simple card to make, Thanks Victoria :)

Can't wait to see the new arrivals coming. There are 2 new companies arriving soon to the store:
Memorybox and Poppystamps. You can check out Victoria's blog or her Facebook page to see when they will be in.

Happy crafting!
