Happy Birthday Kathy (The Peachy Queen)

Peachy Keen Challenge #47 : Sketch Challenge :  Happy Birthday to Kathy!

This week is very special over at Peachy Keen as it's the Peachy Queen's BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday Kathy!

Peachy Keen is one of my favorite stamp companies and if it wasn't for Kathy, they wouldn't exist. I'm always so happy to get my package in the mail when I order from Peachy Keen. I know that I'm getting a high quality stamp and will get a clean, crisp image. I LOVE my Peachy Keen stamps!!!

They are turning this week's sketch challenge into a Happy Birthday Kathy Link Party!!

Here is the sketch to follow:

You can link your birthday card for Kathy and wish her a Happy Birthday and a big Thank you for all her hard work over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog.

Here is  the card that I made for Kathy.

I used Recollections cardstock and the Bright and Jolly paper pack for the base and layers of the card.
I embossed the PKS-11 Igloo in Recollections Glacier Embossing powder and colored it in with a couple of Copics.

I stamped and cut out the fishing bobbers in two different sizes and used the larger ones for the buttons in the sketch.

I embossed the sentiment from the Igloo stamp set as well but left out the word holiday and replace it with Brrrthday from the Pink By Design Snowflakes stamp set. I cut out the sentiment using a Spellbinders Grommet Tag and used some brads to attach it to the card.

Happy Birthday Kathy I hope you have a great week long link party!

Non Traditional Holiday Colors Challenge

Hello everyone,  the challenge this week at Pink By Design is to make a project using Non Traditional Holiday Colors. Forget about red and green try purple, orange and yellow, it's fun to think out of the box.

So here is the card that I made for this challenge.

I started the card by rounding all the corners with my corner rounder then ran the Crafts Too Love Hearts folder through my Cuttlebug for the embossed background.

Using my Spellbinders Heart Circles die I cut out some Pink cardstock from Recollections and then used my Standard Circle die to cut out the main image for my card and layered them together.

The main image is the Peachy Keen Snow Much Love stamp, which I colored in with Copics and used some Liquid Pearls in orange for her nose.

The sentiment is from Penny Black Cold Nose Warm Heart stamp set and is stamped in Memento Rose Bud ink.

For the inside of the card I used the Pink By Design Snowflakes stamp set... It fit in so perfect. I Love this stamp set even though it belongs to my mother... I think that I might hold it hostage a little longer...heeheee.

You should head on over to the Pink By Design Blog and check out all the amazing inspiration and enter the challenge yourself.

Only 11 more days til Christmas!

Swinging By To Say Hi!!!

Here is a fun little card that I made the other day for the Fun Friday Anything Goes Challenge over at Little Scrap Pieces.

It's an Easel card, I love making these types of cards, they are so much fun to display.

I  really like this fun banana paper  made by Reminisce called Goin' Bananas and Crazy Monkey Stripe from the Monkey Business collection.

I used the Create A Critter cartridge, Bazzill paper and some googly eyes to make this cute little monkey. I cut out the vines and ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Indentz Vine 1 folder then placed one on top and one underneath him to make him swing.

Both the sentiments come from Pink By Design's Jungle Fever stamp set, which I embossed in black. I used my Spellbinders Grommet Tag die to cut out the front sentiment and attached it using brads.

Isn't the banana so cute? I used The Cornies Assortment from Peachy Keen for his cute little face.... heeeheee.

Gobble Gobble!

Every Christmas and Thanksgiving I make Cranberry sauce with a few additions.

My one girlfriend loves when I bring it to work with me, so this year I made her some.

I placed the sauce in a jar, added some green tissue paper for a ruffle and used my Spellbinders Standard Circle die to cut out some fall paper for the lid.

I used the Create A Critter cartridge to make this turkey tag. I gave him some googly eyes and attached him using Divine Twine in orange.

What a quick, easy and fun way to make a jar of cranberry sauce not so ordinary.

Winter Wreath

Hello all. It has been a very long week for me, I've had a cold and there are so many things to do.

Today is the last day to enter this weeks challenge over at Peachy Keen, so I have just enough time to enter.

This weeks challenge is 3D Objects : Wall Art.

So here is my entry for Challenge #41.

I used a wreath, Noel and some glass snowflake ornaments that I purchased at Michaels last year but never got around to making anything with.

I used my Spellbinders Circle die to make 4 snowman heads then used my Peachy Keen Winter Faces Assortment for their cute little faces. I colored them in my Copics and attached seam binding to make little scarfs and some pompoms for earmuffs.

I cut 1 1/4" x 12" strips of Christmas paper and made rosettes then attached the snowmen to them and then the wreath.

Quick easy and cheap to make. Try making one of your own.

Remember to head on over to the Peachy Keen Blog and check out all the entries.

WORD!

It's another challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

PKC Challenge 40 :: Just Cards :: Word Up

Here's what ya gotta do to play along with their challenge:
Create a card where the focus of the creation is the sentiment. You can accomplish this with clean and simple designs or let your creativity go wild with patterns and color as long as the sentiment shines through as the main focus.

So... here is the card that I made for PKC 40:

I made an easel card (love making these) and used some pattern paper that I had in my stash.

The sentiment comes from Stampendous and is  embossed with Martha Stewart Cerulean Blue embossing powder.

The snowflakes are from a EK Success Snowflake Edger Punch and I attached them using Glossy Accents.

The inside sentiment is from Pink By Design's My Favorite Kind stamp set.

Thanks for stopping! Make sure to head on over to The Peachy Keen Stamps Blog to see all the great entries and then again on Friday for the new challenge.

Candy Candy Candy!!!

It's challenge time over at Peachy Keen Stamps Blog - Challenge #39 - Color Inspiration.

This is the card that I made for it.

I used Peachy Keen's Frankly stamp set for Frankie, the candy pieces and the main sentiment, then I colored and cut out the pieces. I used the "got candy?" sentiment from the Pink By Design's Guess Who stamp set and stamped it on Frankie's shirt.

I embossed the Recollections Haunted House stamp in Black then cut it out using my Spellbinders Circle die and colored in certain areas with a gray Copic.

Memento Grape Jelly and Sea Brights Citrus make up the inside sentiment. The chocolate bars also come from the Frankly stamp set.

The candy corn and pieces of candy come from Pink By Design's Cute Halloween stamp set. You can't tell but I used Staedtler Maxium Metallic Gel pens to color in the candy.

I will also be entering this into Paper Playtime's Challenge #86 - Welcome to BOO-ville!
This week's Sponsor is Mary from Cardz TV so head on over and check it out.

Oscar the Grouch Dreaming.

I pulled out my Sesame Street cartridge the other day and decided to make Oscar the Grouch.

I used 2 shadow layers to make the base of the card, I love to make shaped cards I think they just look so cute!

I just love how he turned out all fuzzy!
I decided to cut out Oscar's body with some Be Creative Tape and my expression and adhered it to the pieces of cardstock that I had already cut out.  Martha Stewart Flocking Powder in Fennel and Orange Poppy to give Oscar his fur and some googly eyes.

The sentiment is from Pink By Design's Christmas Wishes and a Dollar store stamp for the snowflakes on the bag.

The inside sentiment is from Recollections Nutcracker stamped in SU Ballet Blue.

I will be linking this to Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday. Head on over!

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day everyone! It's Thanksgiving here in Canada, so turkey, stuffing and all the fixings were had by many.

I just had a great Thanksgiving weekend with my Mother and wanted to wish all my friends, family and fellow bloggers a HAPPY THANKSGIVING so I made this card.

I used the Create A Critter cartridge and cut this turkey at 4 1/2", along with all the layers and shadows to make the base of the card then added some googly eyes just for fun.

The inside sentiment comes from Pink By Design's Simply Everything stamp set. This really is a great assortment of sentiments... definitely a must have.

I will adding this post to Sarah Hamer's Link Up Tuesday, Pink By Design's Ink it Pink and over at Bugaboo Stamps' Catch the Bug Challenge Blog - October Anything Goes! Head on over and check them out!

Happy Haunting! PKS Blog Challenge #37

There's a fun Sketch challenge going on over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog.

Create a card or layout using the provided sketch! They will be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and the runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!

So here is my card for Challenge #37 - A Sketch.

I started by embossing the purple cardstock with the Cuttlebug and the Haunted Damask folder, then used some Ornate Green Gate paper in the Spooky and Kooky pack by Bazzill.

Using the Spellbinders Standard Circles Dies I cut several circles in different colors.

I used the Recollections Haunted House stamp set, Martha Stewart's Elegant Witch stamp set for the bats and the Peachy Keen Happy Haunting Ghosts stamp set for the ghost and the sentiment, which are all embossed in black.

I used the Peachy Keen Happy Haunting Ghosts stamp set for the inside of the card as well.

Here I layered all the circles together and embossed BOO! onto the smallest circle. I stamped, embossed and cut out another cute little ghost from the set and added him to the inside.

I just love these little ghosts, they are so cute! I actually won the stamp set over on the Peachy Keen Connection a few weeks back  and was so excited to get them in the mail and use them.

Head on over to both the PK Connection and the PKS Challenge Blog and check out all the fun and amazing stuff going on.
