Sending A Trunk Full Of Hearts.

This week I made a card with a sentiment that I've been wanting to use for a long time, so with Valentine's Day just around the corner it worked out perfectly.

I'm going to enter this weeks Have A Heart challenge over at the Pink By Design blog. They want to see projects using hearts, stamped, embossed, cut out which ever way you like it as long as it includes a heart.

I started with the Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge and cut out just the head of the Elephant then added some googly eyes for fun. I mounted him on some heart patterned paper from the Ever After Collection from Pebbles.

I used the Pink By Design Jungle Fever stamp set for the sentiment, embossing it in Stampendous Silver embossing powder.

The mini hearts come from the largest Spellbinders Heart Circles die from a previous card that I made a while back... I knew I kept them for a reason.

The medium sized hearts are cut from a Fiskars punch, which I then embossed with silver mini word stamps from the Pink Cat Studio Lily and Billy Sweethearts stamp set.

I love how the card turned out!

Find all those heart stamps, stickers and die cuts and get busy, then enter the challenge yourself.

I will also be entering this into the challenge over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog 13-4 Just Cards: Heart of Hearts. Make sure to head on over and take a peek at all the great inspiration from the Design Team.

Wild About You!!

A while back I found this great tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers for making a Flat Backed Treat Box and hadn't gotten the chance to make one yet. So what better time to make one for this weeks challenge over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

The challenge is to create a 3D object of your choice but it must include a bear somewhere on the project.

PKC 13-3 3D Objects: Bears, Bears, and Bears Oh My!

Once my box was made and secured together I started by pulling out the Create A Critter cartridge and cutting out my bear at 2 1/2" and the heart shaped balloon with it's shadow:

I chose this adorable face from the Peachy Keen Critter Face Set A Medium, she's looks so in love! I gave her a pink little bow and a small heart brad for her dress. How cute is she??

The sentiment on the balloon comes from the Pink By Design Jungle Fever stamp set and is embossed in Recollections Violet Embossing Powder. I then added some Divine Twine in Cotton Candy for the string.

The front sentiment is from the Pink By Design Be Mine Stamp set and is also embossed.

Check out the amazing inspiration the Design Team has put together this week....  It's super cute! So make sure to head on over, check it out and enter the challenge yourself.

I will also be linking to this weeks Pink By Design's Will You Be My Valentine?? You've got to check out the cute Valentine's Day projects going on now.

Also go see Paper Playtime's Challenge #2 - Use some Brown. Your project doesn't have to be completely brown but it must have some brown in it. There's a $15 gift certificate to The Robin's Nest up for grabs. so make sure to go there and check out the Design Teams projects!

Be Mine!

The challenge this week over at Peachy Keen is a Sketch. So with Valentine's Day just around the corner I thought I would start my card making now.

Peachy Keen Challenge 13-2 Sketch

Here's the sketch for this challenge:

I stamped, colored with Copics and cut out Lily and Billy then added them to the front of the card with some popdots.

I used the Peachy Keen Cornie Face Assortment for the faces on the Valentines... Aren't they so cute?

Using the Love Hearts folder I embossed a piece of red cardstock and attached it to the base then layered Lily and Billy on top.

The sentiment is from Pink By Design Joyful Tags cut out with the Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio and attached it with some American Crafts Ribbon.

So remember to head on over to the Peachy Keen Blog and check out all the amazing projects.

Happy Brrrthday!

Happy New Year everyone!

So glad to have some time back to get into my crafty little world after the holidays.

A few weeks back my friend had a birthday and her boyfriend got her a colorful new snowboard. So I wanted to make her a fun card so that she would remember her birthday on the mountain.

I started with the Paper Dolls Teen Scene cartridge and cut out my friend and all the accessories at 5", then used the Peachy Keen Dolly Dumplins Face Assortment and colored it in with Copics.

I used the Spellbinders Label Nine to cut out the sentiment which is from the (discontinued?) Pink By Design Cowgirl Up set.

The inside sentiment is from Pink By Design's Snowflakes stamp set.

I will entering this card in the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 13-1 Anything Goes challenge.

It's the first of this years challenges over at Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. I can't wait to see what the challenges will be this year, so make sure to stop on by and join the fun too!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THE BEST IN 2013!
